clearly, i've kinda fallen off the face of the earth. but it's for a good reason. not drama, not lack of internet, but good old fashioned other things to do i've finally made it out to seattle, as i've been longing to for years. today, in fact, is my 8 month anniversary of moving here. i love it. i like my job (adult education, working with vets and dislocated workers). i like my friends (there are some crazy people here). i like where i live (ballard, why are you so cute?). i like who i live with (sister, you're such a neat-freak and a good cook). i like what i do (exploring, reading, picking blackberries). the only downside is the hopefully-temporary long distance relationship, but even that is with a spectacular guy, so i really can't complain.

life is good. yay happy!

i may not be watching the game, but i'm getting texted reports from multiple sources and i'm excited

i woke up today and radicals were zooming around my head. i started working on catching and taming them and putting them in a neat and orderly fashion into a math review sheet. and it just kept going. i was still in my pajamas at 1pm when i stopped to make lunch. they wouldn't leave me alone! i had to stop chopping lettuce to write something down about rationalizing fractions with binomial denominators containing radicals, i was afraid i was gonna lose a finger if i didn't deal with the distraction.  you know how authors sometimes talk about their characters having voices in their heads? math was talking to me O_O

so, people. i just got a brand new phone for the first time since 2004. i'm super excited- i got an htc thunderbolt

i've never had a smartphone before, though, and while i'm having a great time with it so far, i'm asking for recommendations for apps or tricks to get the most out of it. any suggestions or advice is welcome
